Welcome to Drilling Uranus. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, store, and services (collectively, the “Site”) operated by Hurd Holdings, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, under its novelty brand “Drilling Uranus” (“Drilling Uranus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Site, placing an order, or clicking “I agree,” you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Site.

1. Novelty-Only Products

• Our certificates and framed items are novelty gag gifts created solely for entertainment and commemorative purposes.

• They do not convey, imply, or represent any legal rights to mine, drill, extract, occupy, or control any celestial body, including the planet Uranus.

• No property interests, mineral rights, titles, licenses, or governmental approvals are created or transferred by purchasing from us.

• They do not convey, imply, or represent any rights of a sexual, physical, or intimate nature toward any person, entity, or body. Any such interpretation is expressly disclaimed.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Site or place orders.

• You may be required to create an account; you are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. Orders & Customization

• Custom Inputs. Orders may include custom fields (e.g., purchaser name, honoree name, short message). You are solely responsible for accuracy and spelling. We may correct obvious formatting issues, but we do not proofread content.

• Artwork & Proofs. Unless we indicate otherwise, we do not send proofs. What you enter is what prints. Colors may vary between screens and final prints.

• Right to Refuse/Cancel. We may refuse or cancel orders that:

  • include content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, violent, or infringes others’ rights;

  • appear fraudulent or placed in bad faith; or

  • cannot be fulfilled due to stock, print, carrier, or platform limitations.

• Order Acceptance. Your order is accepted when we send a confirmation email. We may cancel after acceptance for reasons above; if we cancel, we will issue a refund for amounts paid for the canceled item(s).

4. Prices & Payment

• Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and may change at any time before purchase.

• Taxes & Duties. You are responsible for applicable taxes, duties, and fees.

• Payment Processors. We use third-party processors (e.g., Stripe/Square/PayPal). By paying, you agree to their terms and privacy policies. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

5. Shipping & Delivery

• Print-on-Demand. Most products are produced to order via third-party print partners. Production and shipping timelines shown at checkout are estimates only.

• Risk of Loss. Title and risk of loss pass to you when we deliver the product to the carrier.

• Delays. We’re not liable for carrier delays, customs holds, weather events, labor disruptions, or other issues beyond our reasonable control.

• Address Accuracy. You are responsible for entering a correct, deliverable address.

6. Returns, Replacements, & Cancellations

• Final Sale. Because most items are custom printed, all sales are final and non-returnable.

• Defects/Damage. If your item arrives misprinted, damaged, or materially defective, contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@drillinguranus.com with your order number and clear photos. If confirmed, we will, at our discretion, replace the item or refund you.

• Wrong Inputs. We cannot refund or replace items printed according to the information you provided, even if there are spelling errors or incorrect names.

• Cancellations. We can attempt to cancel an order before it enters production. Once production starts, cancellations aren’t possible.

7. User Content

You represent and warrant that any text or content you submit:

• is accurate and not misleading;

• does not infringe any third-party rights (including copyrights, trademarks, privacy, or publicity rights);

• is not unlawful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or otherwise objectionable; and

• complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.

We may, but have no obligation to, monitor, edit, or remove user content at our sole discretion.

You grant Drilling Uranus a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, print, display, and create derivative works from any text or content you submit solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order, providing customer support, and improving our services (e.g., internal QA, print testing). We will not publicly use your custom text for marketing without your separate permission.

8. Intellectual Property

The Site, its content, artwork, logos, product designs, text, images, and software are owned by Drilling Uranus and/or our licensors and protected by IP laws. Except as expressly allowed, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or make derivative works from the Site or its content.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• misuse the Site or attempt unauthorized access;

• interfere with Site operation (e.g., scraping, crawling, malware);

• use the Site for fraudulent, illegal, or harmful purposes;

• submit content that violates Section 7.
  We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

10. Third-Party Services

We use third-party platforms (e.g., website host, print-on-demand vendors, payment processors, shipping carriers). Your use of those services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and all products are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and non-interference.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. Color and print variations are normal in print processes and are not defects.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• No Indirect Damages. Drilling Uranus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages (including lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption) arising from or related to the Site, products, or these Terms.

• Cap. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim (or USD $100 if the claim does not relate to a purchase).

• Basis of the Bargain. These limitations are fundamental elements of the agreement between you and us.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations of liability; in such cases, our liability shall be limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Drilling Uranus, its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, and vendors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to:

• your use of the Site or products,

• your content or custom inputs,

• your violation of these Terms, or

• your violation of any laws or third-party rights.

14. Promotions, Discounts & Gift Cards

Promotions or discount codes are subject to their stated terms, may be changed or withdrawn at any time, and may not be combined unless expressly allowed. Gift cards or store credits (if offered) are non-refundable, not redeemable for cash (except as required by law), and may be subject to expiration dates/fees where permitted.

15. International Orders

International customers are responsible for customs duties, VAT/GST, brokerage fees, and import compliance. We are not responsible for customs delays or refusals.

16. Privacy & Data

Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and share personal information. By using the Site, you consent to our data practices described there.

17. Cookies

Our Site may use cookies and similar technologies to enhance user experience, analyze traffic, and support functionality. By using the Site, you consent to our use of cookies as described in the Privacy Policy.

19. Copyright & DMCA

If you believe your copyright-protected work has been used on our Site without authorization, send a notice to info@drillinguranus.com with the following:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work,

2. Identification of the infringing material,

3. Your contact information,

4. A statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized,

5. A statement made under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate,

6. Your signature.

20. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date indicates the latest revision. Material changes will apply prospectively. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

21. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

Governing Law. These Terms and any dispute are governed by the laws of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Venue. You agree to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the state or federal courts located in Delaware for any dispute not subject to arbitration.

22. Arbitration & Class Waiver

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place in Wilmington, Delaware. You and Drilling Uranus waive any right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration.

23. Termination

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion and without prior notice, to suspend or terminate your access to the Site, your ability to place orders, or any portion thereof, at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, suspected fraudulent activity, unlawful conduct, or conduct harmful to Drilling Uranus, our customers, or third parties.

Upon termination, your right to use the Site will immediately cease. Any orders already in production will be handled at our discretion. Provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 1, 7–13, 16–22) shall remain in full force and effect.
